Service Opportunities
Teach Institute Online as a Service Missionary!
Brothers and Sisters,
Do you enjoy teaching the Gospel and helping people along the Covenant Path?
An exciting new service missionary opportunity is available for individuals 26 years and older to teach BYU-Pathway Online Institute classes. Online Institute provides learning experiences that are Christ-centered, scripture-based, learner-focused, and Spirit-directed that can help students deepen their conversion to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. You will teach from the standard works, words of the living prophets and correlated Institute curriculum. Serving as an online service missionary is a rewarding experience that includes connecting with learners online throughout the week in Canvas and in a weekly Zoom gathering. Teaching these online Institute courses is an incredibly rewarding experience. Teaching consists of interacting with students online and gathering virtually with them once a week for 45 minutes. Online Institute Missionaries spend on average about 5-8 hours each week in this assignment.

What a great, short and easy service opportunity! The Bay City Ward served 210 meals to those in need! Great Harvest donated so much food that the only cost to the ward was $20 for coleslaw dressing.
Here's the story of one woman: Each time meals are served there is a woman who walks across the bridge no matter the weather, even in snow storms to get meals for herself and those in need where she lives who can't get there. She walks over the bridge again and again with batches of 10 meals to help. All we do is cook it, pack it up and hand the meals out.
This week when she arrived Sister Sheryl R. had set up a ride for her and they delivered 50 meals with her back to the community she lives in.
Thank you to Sister's Hale & Ripplinger and Elder's Boe & Shaw, without their amazing help Sister Sheryl would have been all alone! You all rock! Sister Sheryl was so grateful for their help preparing, packing and serving the meals this past Thursday!
